France, India call for de-escalation, dialogue in Middle East

French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss recent tensions in the Middle East.

According to a post by the Indian prime minister on X, the leaders exchanged views on the situation and explored ways to support regional stability amid rising concerns, Caliber.Az reports.

Spoke with my dear friend, President Emmanuel Macron, on the situation in West Asia and the urgent need for de-escalation, as well as a return to dialogue and diplomacy.

We look forward to continuing our close coordination to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond,” Modi noted.
