France pledges additional air defence missiles, Mirage jets to Ukraine
France has pledged to supply Ukraine with additional munitions for its air defence systems, as well as long-range missiles and Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets, Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has said.
The announcement followed an online meeting on January 27 between Fedorov and his French counterpart, Defence Minister Catherine Vautrin, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
According to Fedorov, Kyiv expects deliveries from Paris to include:

Ammunition for SAMP/T surface-to-air missile systems and Crotale air defence systems;

Long-range missile systems;

Additional Mirage 2000-5 combat aircraft.
Fedorov also highlighted Ukraine’s readiness to enhance cooperation with France in data sharing and joint defence analysis.
In a post on X, Vautrin confirmed the discussions and stressed France’s commitment to strengthening defence ties with Ukraine. She wrote:
"Ukraine can count on France. To protect against Russian aggression. To achieve a just and lasting peace. To establish reliable security guarantees."
