France records 5.8% rise in burglaries in July

France recorded a 5.8% increase in burglaries in July compared with the same month last year, according to figures cited by broadcaster BFMTV from a source at the French Interior Ministry.

Police registered 27,648 burglary reports during the month, an increase of 1,519 cases from July 2025. The total includes break-ins at both residential and commercial properties.

The figures also show that residential burglaries have risen every July since 2021, with the exception of July 2024, when the trend temporarily reversed.
