France’s TotalEnergies halts Saudi refinery after damage from regional attacks
10 April 2026 14:27
French energy giant TotalEnergies said it has suspended operations at a major oil refinery on Saudi Arabia’s eastern Gulf coast after the facility was damaged during the war in the Middle East.
On April 9, Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry announced “multiple attacks” on its oil and gas facilities, including the SATORP refinery, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and state-owned Saudi Aramco, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Dawn.
Details on the impact on production have not been disclosed.
The development comes as Iran has attacked several regional oil and gas facilities since late February, crippling energy infrastructure.
