France summons Iranian ambassador over Tehran's strike on Israel
The Iranian ambassador to France was summoned to the French Foreign Ministry following Tehran’s recent military actions against Israel, French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné said.
In a statement Sejournet confirmed that he had ordered the Iranian ambassador to be called in for discussions, Caliber.Az reports citing French media.
"I have ordered to summon the Iranian ambassador tomorrow to send him a signal of our determination," Séjourné said.
He emphasized that there was no ambiguity regarding responsibility for the attack, asserting, "It was Iran that attacked Israel."
While addressing the situation, Séjourné stressed the importance of avoiding further escalation in the Middle East. France's priority, the minister reiterated, is to secure the release of hostages, implement a ceasefire, and ensure humanitarian aid can reach the Gaza Strip.
