France Télévisions staff evacuated after bomb threat disrupts broadcasting
On November 29, employees of the French state broadcaster France Télévisions were evacuated following a bomb threat inside the company’s headquarters, France Info reports.
The incident occurred at around 17:30 local time (20:30 Baku time), leading to an interruption in broadcasting.
Police units and canine teams were deployed to the scene to verify the bomb alert, while a security perimeter was established around the building.
An individual left a message for police announcing their intention to blow up the premises of the public broadcasting group later that afternoon, a police source told France Télévisions. A security perimeter was established around the site. No suspicious individuals were found on site.
In a previous such incident, a bomb threat triggered the evacuation of BFMTV's offices on November 15. Broadcasts were interrupted for over two hours. Staff were able to return to the premises after police checks were completed.
