French DJ Kavinsky found dead at 50 in Paris

French DJ and producer Vincent Belorgey, better known by his stage name Kavinsky, has been found dead at his home in Paris's 18th arrondissement, a law enforcement source has said.

The source noted that the 50-year-old musician may have died from a stroke, Caliber.Az reports, citing Le Figaro.

Belorgey had recently complained of persistent headaches.

The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the circumstances of his death.

Belorgey released nine albums during his career. One of his best-known works, Nightcall, released in 2010, was featured in the 2011 film Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.

Kavinsky also performed the track during the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
