French Eurovision star Slimane fined for sexual harassment
French singer Slimane, who represented France in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, has been found guilty of sexual harassment, as reported by Le parisien.
Last year, a former member of the singer’s technical team filed a complaint with the public prosecutor in Saint-Étienne. The complainant alleged that he was subjected to sexual harassment by Slimane in 2023, following one of the singer’s concerts. After the first leg of the tour, Slimane reportedly hosted a celebration party and invited the technician. Upon attending, the technician claimed that Slimane pushed him against a wall and coerced him into sexual acts, attempting to bring him into his dressing room.
The investigation into the case lasted for an extended period, and a French court recently delivered its verdict.
Slimane was found guilty of insisting on sexual acts and sending sexually explicit messages. The case is now closed, and the singer has been fined €10,000.
