French legendary actress slams Macron for broken promises, lost trust
Legendary French actress and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot has publicly voiced her disappointment in President Emmanuel Macron, accusing him of breaking promises and losing the trust of many people.
Bardot said that she no longer sees a reason to engage with the president, whom she met at the Élysée Palace in 2018, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“Now I have nothing to say to him,” Bardot stated. “And it’s not just me — there’s a whole battalion of people who are disappointed in him.”
The iconic actress, known for her outspoken views, didn’t hold back in her criticism, labeling Macron a “harmful” person.
Bardot specifically recalled a pledge Macron made during their meeting to ban the consumption of horse meat in France — a promise she claims was never fulfilled.
In the same interview, Bardot also expressed her support for fellow actor Gérard Depardieu, who is currently facing allegations of sexual harassment.
In 2025, Brigitte Bardot celebrated her 90th birthday. Over the course of her career, she appeared in nearly 50 films before retiring from the screen in the early 1970s to devote herself entirely to animal welfare.
