French National Assembly to review resolution boosting aid to Ukraine using frozen Russian assets
The French National Assembly is set to review a resolution proposal aimed at increasing aid to Ukraine, which includes the potential use of frozen Russian assets.
The full text of the resolution has been made available on the official website of the lower house of parliament, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The resolution calls on the EU to use the frozen assets of Russia to support Ukraine's resistance efforts and the country's reconstruction. In addition, lawmakers have proposed further strengthening of France's assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, the EU was considering the confiscation of additional Russian assets. The proposal was first supported by Martins Kazaks, the Governor of the Bank of Latvia. However, the idea has faced opposition from other officials within the EU governing bodies.
