Russia strikes civilian facility in Ukraine's Kharkiv, hits warehouse Photo
Russian forces launched a missile attack on a civilian enterprise on the outskirts of Kharkiv, Ukraine, authorities said, sparking a large fire but causing no casualties.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said the missile strike ignited a fire covering approximately 5,000 square metres, Caliber.Az reports.
More than 80 rescuers and 20 technical units have been deployed to contain the blaze, with sappers and firefighters from the nearby village of Rohan also assisting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the strike targeted a warehouse belonging to an American company. Local media later identified the damaged facility as a Philip Morris factory, according to the company’s press service.
Authorities confirmed that emergency crews were able to respond quickly, and there were no injuries reported among personnel at the site.
