French opposition figure calls for Macron's impeachment
Florian Philippot, leader of France’s Patriotic Party, sharply denounced President Emmanuel Macron, calling for his immediate impeachment and accusing him of “disgracing the country.”
“But what the hell is this?! What the heck did France do to deserve a clown like this?! Macron in China today...IMPEACHMENT now: make him stop embarrassing France," Philippot wrote on X, reacting to a video shared earlier by BFMTV.
Mais qu’est-ce que c’est que ça ?! 🤦🏻♂️

Qu’a donc fait la France pour mériter un guignol pareil ?!

The video that triggered the outburst showed Macron breaking away from the Chinese security personnel assigned to him during his state visit, jogging toward a group of students to greet them. The unexpected move appeared to catch the host security team off guard.
The moment occurred on the third and final day of Macron’s visit to China, during a stop at Sichuan University in Chengdu.
