French party leader accuses Macron of seeking World War III “Wake Up, the French!”
Florian Philippot, leader of France's Patriots party, has accused French President Emmanuel Macron of wanting to start a third world war.
Filippo believes it is Macron and other European leaders, not Russian President Vladimir Putin, who want to unleash a new world conflict, Caliber.Az reports, citing Philippot's post on X.
“There is still time to stop them: the French, wake up!” the politician urged.
Ce n’est pas #Poutine qui veut la 3è guerre mondiale.

Recent statements by French President Emmanuel Macron have sparked significant discussions regarding Europe's defence strategy and the potential escalation of global conflicts. In a national address on March 5, 2025, Macron emphasized the necessity for France and its European allies to bolster defense capabilities in response to perceived threats from Russia. He proposed extending France's nuclear deterrent to protect European nations, highlighting concerns over Russia's actions in Ukraine and its implications for regional stability.
Macron's comments have elicited strong reactions from Russian officials. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov criticized Macron's speech as confrontational, accusing him of prolonging the conflict in Ukraine and overlooking Russia's security concerns, particularly regarding NATO's expansion. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed Macron, suggesting his influence would wane by 2027.
