Azerbaijan unveils potential at International Tourism Conference in Israel PHOTO
Azerbaijan is highlighting its rich and diverse tourism offerings at the International Tourism Conference (IMTM 2025) in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The country's participation is organised in partnership with 10 local stakeholders, including the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Tourism Agency.
The Azerbaijani pavilion at IMTM 2025 features a broad spectrum of tourism products designed to attract international travelers—from ski resorts and wine tours to wellness retreats. A key focus is the promotion of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions, spotlighted as emerging destinations with unique cultural and natural appeal. These efforts are also aligned with the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” initiative, aimed at raising global awareness of the country’s heritage and identity. Alongside the exhibition, a series of promotional activities were held on May 5 and 6 in the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv.
These events included B2B meetings with key players in the Israeli travel sector. In total, 12 Azerbaijani organizations participated, among them the Shahdag Tourism Centre and other representatives of the country's travel and hospitality industry. The outreach campaign facilitated meetings with 40 tourism professionals in Haifa and 65 in Tel Aviv. The agenda featured destination presentations, media briefings, and networking sessions focused on building strong partnerships with Israeli tour operators and travel media.
