FT: Former Ukrainian minister seeks advisory roles in US, France

Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who recently became an adviser to Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, has said he would like to take on similar roles with the defence ministers of France and the United States.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Fedorov stressed that he was seeking US investment for a defence technology fund that would support companies developing new types of weapons, Caliber.Az reports.

Fedorov further stated that he was ready to help the United States build a “drone army” in exchange for deliveries of US Patriot air defence systems.

“I would be very happy to help America build a drone army — especially in exchange for Patriots, so that we can survive this winter. I am ready to make such an exchange,” he emphasised.

According to him, cooperation with the Italian military on innovation could also open new opportunities for Kyiv and Rome to work together on air defence.
