Fuel prices in Ukraine may rise further from January

Fuel prices in Ukraine could rise further from January 1 due to a planned increase in excise taxes and potentially higher taxes, according to Sergey Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group.

Kuyun said fuel prices could also reflect costs linked to the war, including the restoration of shelters at filling stations and the replacement of fuel warehouses and tankers destroyed during the conflict, Ukrainian media reports. 

“This military component will be factored into the price of fuel,” Kuyun said.
