Fuel shock response: Hindustan Petroleum ramps up LPG production
Hindustan Petroleum announced plans to increase liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production in response to current geopolitical shocks affecting global fuel supplies.
The company stated on X that priority will be given to ensuring availability for domestic consumers and critical non-residential sectors, including hospitals and educational institutions.
In light of current geopolitical disruptions affecting global fuel supply, steps have been taken to enhance LPG production and prioritise its availability for domestic consumers and essential non-domestic sectors such as hospitals and educational institutions.

Requests from other non-residential organisations will be reviewed by the executive committee of oil marketing companies, with prioritisation based on justification, necessity, and product availability, aiming to allocate resources efficiently amid limited supply.
