Game4Ukraine - Team Shevchenko 2-2 Team Zinchenko
The Game4Ukraine match between Team Shevchenko and Team Zinchenko ended in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal's Oleksandr Zinchenko and legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko lead out the two teams for the match which was aimed at raising funds for a school in Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia, according to Mail Online.
Former and current players such as Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk, Gerard Pique, and Fabio Cannavaro all made appearances alongside some celebrities.
After a flurry of chances for both sides, it was Zinchenko's team, managed by Arsene Wenger, that took the lead inside 38 minutes.
Robert Pires played the ball wide to former Arsenal team-mate Gilberto Silva, who delivered a low cross into the box for Mark Noble to finish.
Their lead did not last long, though. The former AC Milan midfielder went beyond Pires on the edge of the box and found the corner with an unstoppable strike four minutes before the break.
An extended half-time break saw Ukrainian band Boombox, Pete Doherty, and Tom Walker all take to the stage to perform.
Team Zinchenko regained the lead after 54 minutes. Jack Wilshere delivered a low cross into the box for former Shakhtar Donetsk defender Darijo Srna to slot into the bottom corner.
Team Shevchenko leveled the scoring again at the 77-minute mark. Jermaine Defoe delivered a low cross from a tight angle on the left. The ball bypassed a number of players but it eventually found William Gallas who slammed the ball home from close range.
In the end, the two sides could not be separated and shared a trophy.
