Gaza contact group to visit Russia, UK, France, US

The contact group on the situation in the Gaza Strip, which includes the foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nigeria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, as well as the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, will visit Russia, Britain, France and the United States in the coming days.

The delegation held talks in China the previous day and will visit Moscow on November 21, Anadolu Agency reports.

At the same time, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan could not take part in the contacts in China and will also not attend the talks in Russia since he will accompany Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a visit to Algeria.

The Gaza contact group is expected to visit London and Paris on November 22, where they will be received by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron; Fidan will already be attending these contacts. The delegation will later travel to the US, but no date has been given for the trip.
