Gaza death toll rises again amid relentless bombardment - 69 killed
At least 69 Palestinians were killed and hundreds more wounded in Israeli military strikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip on the morning of June 19, according to the territory’s health authorities.
In a statement released by Gaza’s Ministry of Health, officials provided the latest toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardment, which has continued to inflict heavy civilian casualties, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
Hospitals in the enclave received 69 dead and 221 wounded in the past 24 hours alone, the ministry said.
Since March 18 — when the Israeli military resumed its campaign following the breakdown of a ceasefire agreement that had come into force on January 19 — 5,401 people have been killed and 18,060 injured, according to official figures.
The overall death toll in Gaza from Israeli attacks since the outbreak of hostilities on October 7, 2023, has now reached 55,706, with a staggering 130,101 injured.
The unrelenting violence continues to devastate communities across the besieged enclave, where hospitals and emergency services are struggling to cope amid growing humanitarian needs and widespread destruction.
