Gaza’s government: Over 190 journalists killed amid ongoing conflict
Gaza’s government has announced that at least 191 journalists have been killed during the fighting in the Gaza Strip since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023.
Gaza’s government has called on the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable for its actions, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
"With each deliberate killing of a journalist, the Israeli occupation proves that its war in Gaza is not only a war against civilians, but also a war against the truth," stated a message from Gaza’s government, which called on the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable for its actions.
The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated after the infiltration of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7, 2023. The attack was accompanied by the killing of residents in border towns and the taking of hostages. In response, Israel launched a military operation in Gaza aimed at dismantling the military and political infrastructure of Hamas and securing the release of all hostages.
