GCC secretary-general discusses EU-Gulf agenda with Kallas
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi held a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
According to the GCC Secretariat, the sides discussed preparations for the second GCC–EU Summit, as well as ways to advance the strategic partnership between the Gulf states and the European Union.
The GCC and the EU also reaffirmed the importance of continuing their joint efforts and building on the outcomes and initiatives achieved since the first summit to further strengthen cooperation across all priority areas.
They stressed that this reflects the depth of the historical ties between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, promotes development and prosperity for the peoples of both sides, and contributes to enhancing security, stability, and peace at both the regional and international levels.
