Georgia detains four in criminal underworld crackdown

Four members of the so-called “criminal underworld” were detained in Georgia’s Imereti region, while two others will be charged in absentia, the country’s Interior Ministry announced.

The detainees participated in “criminal showdowns,” made decisions according to “thieves’ traditions,” and threatened to retaliate against those who failed to fulfil their obligations or meet deadlines, Caliber.Az reports per Sputnik Georgia.

They face up to 15 years in prison.
