Georgia reaffirms commitment to regional peace, cooperation
Georgia remains steadfast in its dedication to promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus, Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said.
Speaking at a panel discussion during the international Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi, Botchorishvili emphasized Georgia's strong position in fostering deeper relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan to strengthen peace in the region, Caliber.Az reports citing Georgian media.
"Georgia has a clear position—wherever we have an opportunity, we aim to promote the deepening of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan to contribute to regional peace," Botchorishvili stated.
The Georgian Foreign Minister reiterated Georgia's support for the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and underlined the importance of lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
"Georgia strongly supports the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and is committed to ensuring lasting peace in our region," she said.
Botchorishvili highlighted Georgia's role as a facilitator, noting that her country is ready to assist in any way it can to encourage cooperation and dialogue between the two countries. "Wherever we are needed, wherever we can contribute to deepening relations between the two countries, we are here to promote peace, cooperation, and dialogue," she explained.
She further stressed that the potential of the South Caucasus region can only be fully realized through collaboration. "We believe that through peace and security, we can achieve much," Botchorishvili concluded, reaffirming Georgia's commitment to contributing to a more peaceful and prosperous regional future.
The Raisina Dialogue is India’s foremost conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, dedicated to addressing the most pressing challenges facing the global community. Held annually in New Delhi, it brings together leaders from politics, business, media, and civil society to engage in discussions on the state of the world and explore opportunities for collaboration across a wide spectrum of contemporary issues.
Structured as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral forum, the Dialogue features heads of state, cabinet ministers, and local government officials, alongside thought leaders from the private sector, media, and academia.
