Georgian Airways cancels flights to Tel Aviv and several other destinations
Georgian Airways has cancelled all scheduled flights on the Tbilisi–Tel Aviv–Tbilisi route for June 14 and 15, citing safety concerns amid rising regional tensions.
According to the airline, passengers holding tickets for the affected Tel Aviv-bound flights will be able to either exchange them or request a full refund, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The wave of cancellations extends beyond the Israel route. Flights from Tbilisi to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Erbil, Delhi, and Dubai have also been suspended. Additionally, Georgian Airways has cancelled all flights from Batumi to destinations in Israel and Iran.
No specific timeline was given for when service on these routes might resume. The airline’s decision comes as the security situation in the region remains highly volatile following the recent escalation between Israel and Iran.
