Georgian authorities open to review relations with US, Tbilisi mayor says
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has announced that Georgian authorities are prepared to conduct an open review of their relations with the United States.
He emphasised that during the previous administration, Georgia had been subjected to what he described as unacceptable threats from Washington, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Kaladze reiterated that Georgia is an"independent nation, a sovereignty for which its ancestors fought and won, and it should not be dependent on any foreign power."
He further noted that the positions of the ruling party in Georgia and the current US presidential administration are largely aligned, particularly on issues such as foreign funding for "certain groups within Georgia" and the ongoing battle against what he termed the “deep state.”
