German chancellor to host Armenian PM in Berlin

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will meet Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Berlin on December 9, Deputy Government Spokesperson Sebastian Hille announced.

According to Hille, Chancellor Merz will officially welcome Prime Minister Pashinyan with a military ceremony at the Federal Chancellery at around 16:00 local time, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

The leaders are expected to hold talks focused on strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, addressing key regional developments, and discussing the ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

A joint press conference is scheduled following the meeting.
