German companies receive around €790 million in US tariff refunds
German companies have received around €790 million in refunds after a US Supreme Court ruling overturned part of the tariffs, according to German broadcaster Tagesschau.
Logistics giant DHL received the largest refund among the companies cited, at around €416 million. DHL Chief Financial Officer Melanie Kreis said the payment had been a significant factor for the company.
Healthcare companies also received substantial refunds. Siemens Healthineers was reimbursed around €200 million, while Sartorius received approximately €26 million and Dräger around €22 million.
Sportswear manufacturer Puma reported a refund of €49 million. Adidas expects to receive between €250 million and €300 million.
Overall, the US government reimbursed around $81.3 billion in tariffs between October 2025 and the end of June 2026.
