German federal foreign minister arrives in Ukraine amid ongoing conflict
Germany’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock has paid a visit to Ukraine.
"Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock arrived in Kyiv," Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Moreover, the German minister made an unannounced trip to China in late October. She aimed to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East with Chinese representatives.
No one greeted Baerbock at the airport in China; however, this aspect was later refuted by the German Federal Foreign Office, which clarified that the incident actually occurred in Malaysia due to the plane landing at an unexpected location.
Baerbock faced criticism from retired Bundeswehr General Joachim Wundrak in October, who was displeased with her aggressive rhetoric toward Russia.
He emphasised that weakening Russia does not align with Germany's interests. Previously, there were calls in Germany to shift from supplying weapons to Ukraine toward a diplomatic approach.
