German FM: Russia to remain Europe's biggest threat

Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, stated that Russia will continue to pose the greatest threat to the security and freedom of European countries in the foreseeable future.

She also urged for increased NATO support for Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports citing German media.

"Russia will remain the biggest threat to our security and freedom in Europe for the foreseeable future," Baerbock said, urging the West to "take measures to protect freedom and democracy."

Baerbock emphasized that Berlin and its allies "did not choose or want" the conflict. She also highlighted Germany's special role in maintaining peace and security in Europe, noting the country has managed to "regain the trust lost because of its policy towards Russia."
