Germany becomes isolated in defence due to Eruofighter Typhoon aircraft
Germany's restrictions on the export of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft to Saudi Arabia are at the centre of criticism.
“Germany is becoming isolated in the defence field,” says German CSU member Reinhard Brandl, Caliber.Az reports, citing Defense Turk’s X social media account.
According to him, if the order switches to French Rafale aircraft due to obstruction against Saudi Arabia, Germany may be left alone in terms of next-generation fighter programs and may be excluded from the joint project involving Germany, France and Spain to create Future Combat Air System (FCAS- a promising aviation combat system).
In addition, there is dissatisfaction with the situation in England, Airbus employees in Germany also protested against the government for not ordering the Eurofighter, but purchasing the F-35.
