Germany delivers Patriot battery to Poland PHOTO
Battery for a US-made Patriot surface-to-air missile (SAM) system has been delivered from Germany to Poland.
Germany aims to strengthen its contribution to the security of NATO's eastern flank and demonstrates solidarity with its allies, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces).
In addition, about 350 servicemen of the German Armed Forces arrived in the country, with 300 more scheduled to come if necessary.
"The duration of the mission will be closely coordinated with our ally Poland," the statement said.

After the missile incident in a Polish border village in November last year, Germany and Poland agreed to deploy a German Patriot in the country.
Later, Germany, following the US, agreed to transfer Patriot to Ukraine as well. The Ukrainian military has already started to learn how to use the systems on US territory.
