Germany: Man arrested after knife threat on train between Cologne and Berlin 340 Evacuated

German police detained a man who allegedly threatened passengers with a knife aboard a train travelling from Cologne to Berlin.

The incident occurred near Gifhorn in Lower Saxony, where the train was forced to make an emergency stop, Caliber.Az reports per German media.

The suspect, identified as an Afghan national, reportedly threatened fellow passengers with a knife, prompting the evacuation of 340 individuals from the train. Authorities confirmed that the man was taken into custody by arriving officers.

No information regarding any injuries has been reported.
