Global faith leaders join 2nd Azerbaijan religious forum in Baku PHOTO
Delegations from Türkiye, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are taking part in the second Azerbaijan Religious Leaders Forum in Baku, officials reported.
The event brings together representatives from state bodies, religious figures, educators from theological institutions, and specialists in the field, as well as senior officials from authorised state religious agencies. Kyrgyzstan is also represented at the forum, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Under the theme “Constitutional Principles of State-Religious Relations in Azerbaijan: Secularism and Freedom of Conscience,” participants are discussing ways to promote fundamental constitutional values, including secularism and freedom of conscience, as well as the rights and responsibilities of religious leaders.
Legal and cultural dimensions of state-religion relations, professional development of religious figures, and strengthening Azerbaijan’s multicultural and tolerant environment are also on the agenda.
Panel discussions will explore topics such as “Multicultural Values: Legal and Cultural Dimensions of State-Religious Relations,” “Religious Education in the Digital Age,” “Youth Development Amid Global Influences: Modern Methods and Innovative Approaches,” and “The Role of Religious Communities in the Social and Spiritual Development of Women.”
