Global Media Group becomes official partner of “Protect the Caspian Sea” campaign
As part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, an environmental campaign titled “Protect the Caspian Sea” was held on Novkhani beach.
Global Media Group proudly served as the official partner for this event, which brought together various media outlets, including the Report Information Agency, Media.az, Oxu.az, Baku.ws, Baku TV, and the Caspian newspaper, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Organized by Coca-Cola with support from the private sector, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and dedicated volunteers, the initiative aimed to clean the shores of the Caspian Sea and raise public awareness about pressing ecological issues.
In his opening remarks, Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, emphasized the commitment of citizens and local businesses to this cause over the past 15 years.
“It is highly symbolic that we are launching Caspian Week through collaborative efforts. In November, Baku will host a significant event—the COP29 conference, for which we have been diligently preparing. I am confident that Azerbaijan will be well represented on the international stage. I would like to extend my gratitude to all our partners for their support,” the Minister stated.
Rovshan Nizamov, a board member of Global Media Group, highlighted the urgent need for proactive measures in addressing global challenges such as climate change, environmental degradation, and the rapid depletion of natural resources.
Laura Seyidbayova, Marketing Director of Global Management, also underscored the importance of participating in such initiatives. She noted that the company is committed to contributing through projects focused on environmental protection, raising public awareness, and promoting responsible stewardship of natural resources.
“We are thrilled that Global Media Group is actively participating in this environmental campaign, taking significant steps toward cleaning up the Caspian Sea,” she remarked.
Elshad Farzaliyev, PR Manager of Coca-Cola, expressed gratitude to all participants and volunteers for their dedication to environmental protection: “The beach cleanup campaign began earlier in September, and I want to thank the volunteers and all the companies that joined this initiative. It is crucial for our environment.”
