"Great Return" of Azerbaijanis to liberated lands continues
More families will be brought to the village of Agali in Zangilan District of Azerbaijan on September 9.
Thirteen families will be relocated to the village, which was liberated from Armenian occupation in 2020 and is being rebuilt based on the "smart village" concept as part of the state-run "Great Return" program.
The first resettlement caravan consisting of 12 families left the "town of Zangilan" in the Masazir settlement of the Absheron region on September 7, according to Report.
Resettlement to the village of Agali is the first step of the "Great Return". Before the occupation, there were three villages in this administrative territory. At that time, 40 families (154 people) lived in the First Agali, 60 families (245 people) in the Second Agali, and 161 families (675 people) in the Third Agali villages. At present, the total number of families from these villages is 352 (1,504 people).
