Grenade blast during street altercation injures three in Ukraine Photo

A grenade exploded during a street fight in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi, injuring three people, local authorities said.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Maidan Heroes Street after a grenade was thrown during a conflict. One person was hospitalised, while two others received treatment at the scene, Caliber.Az reports. 

A 32-year-old local resident was detained in connection with the incident. The National Police of Ukraine released a photo suggesting that the suspect may have a military background.

Police investigations are ongoing.
