Gulf states exhaust interceptor missile stocks – Bloomberg
30 March 2026 20:53
Since February 28, Gulf countries have used approximately 2,400 interceptor missiles.
According to Bloomberg, this figure is close to their stockpiles before the escalation in the Middle East.
The agency reports that Iran has launched nearly 1,200 ballistic missiles and 4,000 Shahed drones at Gulf countries since the start of the war. Over the past weekend alone, up to 40 launches per day were recorded—twice the average daily rate.
The vast majority of expended interceptors are Patriot PAC-3 and GEM-T missiles, whose pre-war stockpiles in Gulf countries were less than 2,800 units, Bloomberg notes.
