Gwyneth Paltrow addresses rumours of her alleged "digs" at Meghan Markle's cooking show
Renowned American actress Gwyneth Paltrow has addressed rumors suggesting a feud between her and Meghan Markle, the wife of British Prince Harry.
The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actress and entrepreneur responded after speculation arose that she was mocking the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex, Caliber.Az reports citing US media.
The rumours surfaced following an Instagram video Paltrow posted on March 22, in which she was seen cooking breakfast in her pajamas in her kitchen.
Viewers analyzed the post and speculated that it contained subtle digs at Markle, who recently launched a cooking and lifestyle show on Netflix. The program faced widespread criticism on social media, with users calling it "boring" and "unoriginal."
Markle’s critics praised Paltrow for being “relatable” and for having the “integrity” to film in her own kitchen — unlike the duchess, who filmed her Netflix show in a rented mansion.
Paltrow eventually addressed the rumoured feud on March 25 while answering fan questions on her Instagram Story.
“Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” one person asked, to which Paltrow replied, “I genuinely do not understand this” when reading the question aloud in a video posted to her Instagram Story. About 15 minutes later, Markle reshared Paltrow’s clip on her own social media account.
Paltrow recently told Vanity Fair that, despite both living in California, she doesn’t “know Meghan and Harry” personally.
