Hamas confirms death of al-Qassam brigades commander in Lebanon
The Palestinian movement Hamas has confirmed the death of Hassan Ahmed Farhat, senior military commander from the al-Qassam Brigades, following an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon.
Hamas stated that Farhat, was killed early on the morning of April 4 in the city of Sidon, located in southern Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The statement described the attack as an Israeli assassination attempt.
According to the report, Farhat's son, Hamza, also a member of the al-Qassam Brigades, died alongside his father in the strike.
Moreover, three people were killed in the Israeli attack on the apartment in Sidon.
Farhat was in the apartment on Dalaa Street in downtown Sidon when it was bombed by an Israeli drone early morning.
The Israeli forces had launched several raids since the evening on areas in southern Lebanon, including al-Naqoura, Nabatieh, and Sidon, resulting in damage to the targeted areas.
On April 3, the Israeli forces targeted a car in the city of Bint Jbeil, resulting in two injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
