Hamas denies talks with US to resolve Gaza conflict

The Palestinian movement Hamas is not holding negotiations with Washington regarding a settlement of the conflict in the Gaza Strip, an unnamed representative of the group told Al Arabiya, refuting a corresponding statement made by US President Donald Trump.

“The information about direct or indirect negotiations with Washington does not correspond to reality,” the Hamas source told the channel, Caliber.Az reports.

At the same time, the source noted that the movement is open to any proposals that would ensure a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave, and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
