Hamas militant wing shelled Tel Aviv
The military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement Al-Qassam Brigade said it fired rockets at Israel's Tel Aviv in response to strikes on civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The group's statement claimed that they fired rockets at Tel Aviv. This was in response to the "Zionist massacre of civilians", Gazeta.ru reports.
Before that, the militant wing of the Palestinian radical group Hamas "Izz ad-Din al-Qassam" attacked the Israeli city of Ashkelon.
Earlier, the militants claimed that they hit five tanks and the same number of armoured personnel carriers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) with Yasin 105 shells.
It was noted that since the beginning of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the IDF has lost 398 soldiers. It is emphasized that most of them lost their lives as a result of battles in southern Israel.
On December 1, a ceasefire imposed under a truce deal between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement was lifted in the Gaza Strip. The parties suspended hostilities for seven days, during which Hamas released 110 hostages.
