Hamas security chief killed in Israeli operation in Gaza VIDEO
In a targeted operation carried out at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have successfully neutralized Faak Mabhouh, the head of Hamas' internal security operations department.
The operation, as reported by Caliber.Az citing the IDF press service, was initially aimed at capturing Mabhouh, but resulted in his death during a confrontation with security forces.
The IDF discovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition in a room adjacent to the site of the shootout, further underscoring the militant activities associated with Mabhouh and his associates. Mabhouh played a crucial role in coordinating Hamas' operations within the Gaza Strip, making his elimination a significant blow to the terrorist organization's activities in the region.
Before this operation, the IDF had released footage depicting the actions of militants and their infrastructure in the vicinity of the Al-Shifa hospital, providing insight into the extent of Hamas' presence and activities in civilian areas.
