Hamas signals readiness to hand over Gaza governance to technocratic committee
The Palestinian movement Hamas has declared its readiness to immediately hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a technocratic committee, provided it receives guarantees that Israel will honor any resulting agreement.
The statement, published on the group’s official Telegram channel, stressed that Hamas is prepared to negotiate the release of all hostages in exchange for clear commitments to end the war, ensure the full withdrawal of Israeli forces, and establish an independent Palestinian government, per Caliber.Az.
Hamas also confirmed its openness to any initiatives aimed at ending the violence in the region and announced its willingness to immediately resume ceasefire talks regarding the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, Hamas has received through mediators a proposal from Washington on resolving the crisis.
