Hamas special forces commander killed in IDF strike

The Hamas special forces field commander Nukhba, who was responsible for the hostage-taking at the Nova music festival, has been killed.

The operation was made possible by intelligence information obtained in recent weeks, according to NEWSru.co.il.

Among other things, Shabak investigators interrogated Nukhba militants captured in the Gaza Strip and the 504th Military Intelligence Unit (AMAN) revealed the identity of the commander responsible for the militants' actions in the music festival area.

On February 14, Israeli intelligence received information that the wanted Nukhba commander was driving his vehicle through Gaza City, and the vehicle was struck by an IDF air strike. The militant was destroyed.
