Herzog slams Iran after claims Israel blocked FM Araghchi's Davos visit
Israeli President Isaac Herzog reacted sharply to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s statements about the cancellation of his participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
In a post on social network X, Herzog posted that Iran’s leadership has no moral right to lecture others because Tehran’s authorities are killing their own citizens and spreading violence beyond their borders, Caliber.Az informs.
President @Isaac_Herzog: “The same murderous Iranian regime massacring its own people day after day, executing innocent women and men for daring to call for their freedom, and spreading terror and death across the Middle East is in no position to lecture others on 'morality.'… https://t.co/RMqHJSOpXY

With this post, Herzog responded to Araghchi’s claim that the WEF cancelled his speech under political pressure from Israel and its allies.
“The same murderous Iranian regime massacring its own people day after day, executing innocent women and men for daring to call for their freedom, and spreading terror and death across the Middle East is in no position to lecture others on 'morality,’” the Israeli president wrote.
He emphasised that international criticism of Iran is not driven by political motives, but by the regime’s support for Hamas, Hezbollah and other military groups.
Earlier, Abbas Araghchi said that his participation in the Davos forum was cancelled by WEF due to “lies and political pressure” from Israel and its supporters in the United States.
