Heydar Aliyev Foundation vice-president visits Sultan Qaboos Cancer Care facility in Oman PHOTO
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, visited the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre, part of the University Medical City in Muscat, Oman.
Upon her arrival, Aliyeva was warmly received by Sinam Al Sinani, Executive President of the University Medical City, Caliber.Az reports per state media.
During the visit, Aliyeva toured the facility, exploring its various departments and observing the state-of-the-art medical equipment utilized in patient care. She also presented keepsakes to patients undergoing treatment at the centre.
The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre was established to provide advanced, comprehensive healthcare services to cancer patients, under the directives of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Highlighting its commitment to excellence, the center received international accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI) in June 2023. It became the first governmental healthcare institution in Oman to earn such accreditation within a remarkably short timeframe, distinguishing itself among the country’s healthcare facilities.
