Heydar Aliyev International Airport issues advisory ahead of WUF13 traffic measures
Heydar Aliyev International Airport has issued an appeal to passengers ahead of temporary traffic restrictions in Baku linked to preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13), which is set to take place in the Azerbaijani capital.
According to the airport’s press service, traffic monitoring and temporary regulation will be carried out on several routes in Baku during the night of April 11–12. In particular, restrictions are expected in the direction of the airport on April 12 between 01:30 and 03:30, Caliber.Az reports.
Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys in advance, take potential congestion into account, and consider using the Zigh highway as an alternative route.
To ensure timely departures, travellers are also urged to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled flights.
The airport noted that the “Aeroexpress” bus service operating between the city centre (28 May Transport Hub) and the airport will continue to run on schedule and remain a reliable transport option.
