Hezbollah claims attack on Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon

Hezbollah has claimed that it targeted Israeli soldiers in the village of Taybeh in southern Lebanon on April 23 and shot down a drone in the town of Majdal Zoun, according to a statement from the group.

Earlier, the Israeli military said it had intercepted an “aerial target” in southern Lebanon.

The group also reiterated that its renewed attacks, which resumed on April 21, were a response to what it described as Israeli violations of a 10-day ceasefire that came into effect on Friday.

Israel, in turn, has accused Hezbollah of breaching the ceasefire agreement.
