Hezbollah claims drone attack as Israel accuses group of ceasefire violation

Hezbollah said it launched a drone at an Israeli military position in southern Lebanon on April 22, describing the strike as a response to what it called Israeli violations of a recently agreed ceasefire.

In a statement, the Iran-backed group said the attack targeted an Israeli post in the village of Al-Bayada, adding that it came in reaction to breaches of the 10-day ceasefire that took effect on April 17, Caliber.Az reports.

Earlier, the Israeli military accused Hezbollah of violating the truce. It said the group had sent a “hostile aircraft” toward Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon.

According to the military, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force before it could enter Israeli airspace.
